It was March 1, 1985, when Danny Greer opened the doors on his new company Machine Tool Technology & Sales (MTTS, Inc.).
He had already been a successful machine tool salesman in Houston, Texas when he saw the emergence of high technology CAM systems as the real future of manufacturing. Armed with his sales experience plus years on the shop floor, he set out to become a major force in that industry.
The people at MTTS
Danny was joined by Bret Porter in 1987, a top CNC Applications Engineer with major machine tool companies. Bret is the head of training and support at MTTS. Gary Thompson is manager of the Houston, Texas office and has twenty-five years of experience in shop floor and authoring ESPRIT CAM post processors and API automation code.
Jerry Flores rounds out the technical staff with twenty years of tooling technology, programming, and machine shop experience.
Country's First ESPRIT Reseller
In 1994, DP Technology - the developer of ESPRIT CAM software - decided to extend their marketing through Value-Added Resellers. MTTS was the USA's first ESPRIT reseller signed on.
Being the first means that MTTS and ESPRIT grew the technology together. Today, MTTS specializes in sales, training and support for "The most powerful CAM software ever."
MTTS also offers a full range of CAD/CAM software products, training, support, and customization.
The Next Twenty-Five Years
Our industry is excited about the future as we enter a new decade in an emerging economic climate for manufacturing. MTTS is about to release a new line of ESPRIT interactive tutorials beginning with the 2010 release of the software. More about that in the near future.
